Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE (New Game, Easy) Notes

General Notes

  • The dialog choices are to get falling star. You have zero points of leeway.

  • A lot of the fights are guidelines rather than hard rules. The turn order is sometimes random so you will have to improvise.

  • If you’re low on sp before a fight use clap tracks.

  • On any difficulty other than normal EXP is doubled for enemies higher level than you. This multiplier starts to shrink when a character is four levels below the lowest enemy in an encounter.

  • Luck increases your chance of avoiding enemy attacks, and certain fights make use of attack mirrors where you want to get hit. Because of this specific vending machine drinks are noted to avoid raising the luck of characters being used.

  • The best way to get carnage mastery is to use certain aoe attacks. The base amount is multiplied by the amount of enemies in the encounter.

  • The best way to get stage rank is to use party buff spells (tarukaja etc), or party healing. Items work too, so first aid kits and ice packs are useful in the earlygame. Each chapter has a multiplier, so your stage rank points are doubled in ch3, tripled in ch4 etc.

  • Every intermission, you have to go through any unread main story topic messages. On the Wii U version it’s possible to read these while walking, saving time each intermission.

  • When reading topic messages, on Encore you should hold right stick down and A. On Wii U, you should do a long swipe upwards. This advances the topic message and quickly scrolls the new message into place.

  • After every battle is a victory animation. You should tap A to cancel this early, going straight to the results screen.

Attack mirrors:

  • when using attack mirrors, the user’s mirrors will last until their next turn.
  • the other party member’s mirrors will last until their second turn (starting from when the mirror was used)
  • Reflects the raw damage you would have taken back to the enemy
  • Weakness doesn’t reflect.
  • For repelled damage, the resistances of the one eating the damage is applied.
  • You can safely guard without worrying about reflecting less damage
  • If you have defense down it’ll apply to the reflected damage, But it won’t matter if the enemy has defense down.
  • if you have a status ailment like sleep or seal, the crit / bonus damage will also be reflected

  • The dekunda is mostly to get rid of sukunda so your attacks don’t miss. You might have to move it to kiria depending on turn order

  • The Chaos Pegasus Knight will debuff on round 1, and then attack for the rest of the fight. So if you pastel power before it’s round 1 action, when it recovers from stun on turn 2 it will debuff.
